Young Achievers The Young Achievers program begins with each homeroom teacher in both the County and City School Systems selecting a student that exhibits a dedication for learning and is involved in their community. 210 Students annually are recognized for their achievements.
Currently, the Education Foundation offers scholarships to students, and classroom grants to teachers, conducts the annual Young Achievers Award Ceremony, holds an annual essay contest for grades 3 – 8 and facilitates funding for both the City and County school systems. Leadership Loudon County is also a part of the excellent package of programs offered by the Education Foundation.
Outstanding Teacher Awards Six new and six outstanding teachers receive recognition for their great work.
Annual Essay Contest Students in Grades 3-8 can participate in this contest that helps prepare them for their annual writing assignment.
Encouraging Excellence in Education Awards Celebration Attended by over 1,200 students, teachers, parents and community members, this event honors our Young Achievers, Outstanding teachers and Essay Contest winners with a reception and awards ceremony.
Great Idea! Grants teachers have the opportunity to apply for funds for special classroom projects.
Scholarships Provided to High School Seniors and GED Graduates.
Leadership Loudon County community-based leadership program to educate and develop current and future leaders. The sessions include tours of several local industries, businesses, tourist attractions and government agencies, plus a visit to Nashville to observe state government in action.
Banking on Education
This annual event provides an opportunity for the community to help support our school systems by donating much needed school supplies.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
LCEF is the host organization responsible for fund raising for The Imagination Library. Books are provided to Loudon County children ages 0 - 5 at no charge. LCEF partners with the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation, Kiwanis, The Good Neighbors Shoppe, United Way and individual community members to provide this service to Loudon County.
Julia Hurley Group will donate 1% of all commissions earned back to the Foundation for every home sold in Loudon County.
