Terrace Garden Manor - Iconic Smoky Mountain Estate Chalet! A rare opportunity to own a true classic chalet, Terrace Garden Manor is a 13-bedroom, 7.5-bath estate originally custom designed by renowned architect Hubert Bebb and featured as a 1968 Southern Living Home of the Year. Two separate parcels, one price: 125M A 002.00 and 125M A 003.00 (approximately 0.95 acres combined) - imagine the possibilities! Nestled in the prestigious Gatlinburg Alpendorf area, this exceptional property offers the perfect blend of privacy and convenience, located just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Mountain, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Backing up to over 3,000 acres of undeveloped forest, the setting provides breathtaking mountain views and abundant wildlife, creating a true Smoky Mountain retreat. Spanning approximately 5,261 square feet, this expansive chalet is ideal for large groups, weddings, retreats, and high-performing short-term rental use. The home features cathedral ceilings, stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious great room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with ample dining space and island seating. Additional highlights include a recreation room / home theater, wood flooring, and a main-level primary suite. Outdoor living is just as impressive, with multiple deck areas, a hot tub, fire pit, picnic space, and an outdoor event shelter/carport perfect for gatherings or weddings. Ample parking accommodates large groups, making this property especially appealing for events, car enthusiasts, and group travel. The property is serviced by city water, sewer, and trash pickup, with winter main road maintenance for year-round accessibility (driveway will be owner's responsibility). A major upgrade was completed in December 2025, connecting the property to the City of Gatlinburg sewer system. As part of Chalet Village HOA, owners and guests enjoy access to community amenities including pools, clubhouse, tennis, and pickleball/tennis courts for an annual fee. Positioned in one of the Smokies' most desirable short-term rental markets, Terrace Garden Manor offers a unique combination of history, scale, location, and income potential.
